If you have tuned into a live card break on Whatnot or YouTube, you have likely heard breakers yell “Case Hit!” as soon as a rare insert flashes on camera. But what actually qualifies as a case hit, and why do they command such high premiums?
What is a Case Hit?
A case hit is a rare insert card seeded, on average, once per full sealed factory case (typically containing 12 to 20 individual boxes). Unlike standard parallel cards numbered to a specific print run, case hits often do not have serial numbers, but their print run remains extremely limited (Super Short Print, or SSP).
